XLink, the Bitcoin bridge, has announced a partnership with Kaamel Technology to investigate a recent security breach. In addition to this collaboration, XLink has also accelerated its collaborations with Ancilia and Cobo to enhance the platform’s security against future breaches. The breach on May 15 resulted in the loss of nearly $10 million in user funds. Kaamel Technology will conduct a thorough investigation into the root cause of the breach and implement measures to prevent future vulnerabilities. Ancilia Inc. played a vital role in alerting XLink to the attack, allowing them to take immediate action to mitigate further losses. XLink is also working closely with Cobo, its BTC custodian, to strengthen the platform’s security. The recent hack compromised the Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain endpoints, resulting in the theft of approximately $4.3 million. However, a white hat hacker was able to recover the stolen assets. In a separate incident on May 15, Alex Labs, the developer of the XLink bridge, fell victim to an exploit that led to the loss of around $13.7 million in Stacks tokens. XLink is actively seeking additional partnerships to further strengthen the security of its platform.
