Polygon Labs has collaborated with Succinct Labs to develop a groundbreaking type of zero-knowledge proof called a pessimistic proof. This new proof, built using SP1 (a ZK virtual machine), will provide enhanced security for the AggLayer network by ensuring that no single chain can compromise the deposits of others.
When questioned about how SP1’s integration with Rust and Plonky3 benefits developers, a spokesperson from Polygon explained to Cointelegraph the advantages of these collaborations.
Looking ahead, the Polygon spokesperson shared plans for the future of SP1 and Plonky3 in an interview with Cointelegraph.
In a recent interview, Brendan Farmer, co-founder of Polygon, discussed the implications of the AggLayer and ZK technology. Farmer described the AggLayer as a decentralized protocol operated by staked nodes in a Mirror post. He also delved into the core principles of the “Aggregated Blockchains Thesis.”
Regarding ZK technology, Farmer emphasized the importance of navigating financial privacy in the coming decades.
