SingularityNET has officially announced the confirmed dates for the merger of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) token with its native AGIX token. This is a significant milestone in bringing together the fetch.ai (FET), AGIX, and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) communities.
The process of merging these tokens into one decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) network will commence on June 11, with the FET token being renamed ASI, and will be completed on June 13.
In terms of the token merger details, holders of FET, AGIX, and OCEAN tokens will need to convert their tokens into ASI tokens according to specific conversion rates. FET tokens will be converted at a 1:1 ratio, AGIX at a ratio of 1:0.433350, and OCEAN at a ratio of 1:0.433226.
The ERC-20 tokens will be available on June 11 for users to swap their FET tokens for ASI tokens through a token migration contract. AGIX and OCEAN tokens will follow on June 13.
The migration process will take place on SingularityNET’s decentralized AI platform, where users can securely exchange their tokens using an audited token migration contract provided by SingularityNET.
The ASI merger aims to create the largest open-sourced decentralized network in the AI industry, catering to more than 200,000 tokenholders.
In line with the goal of integrating AI into everyday life in a safer manner, OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has recently launched an initiative to expand its services in the education sector. ChatGPT Edu, an AI language model designed for university use, offers educational institutions enterprise-level security and controls for students, faculty members, researchers, and campus operations.
Several prestigious universities, including the University of Oxford, the Wharton School, the University of Texas at Austin, Arizona State University, and Columbia University, have already adopted this university-level tool and service.
