The ASI Alliance, comprised of SingularityNET, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol, has pushed back its token merger to July 15.
Ben Goertzel, the founder and CEO of SingularityNET and ASI, expressed to Cointelegraph that the development of “superhuman superintelligence” could be within reach in just a few years.
The delay is linked to the necessity for additional technical and logistical preparations. Humayun Sheikh, the CEO of Fetch.ai, elaborated on the situation:
Discussing the long-term goals of the merger, Ben Goertzel highlighted the importance of unifying the efforts of the three AI and blockchain projects in creating decentralized artificial general intelligence (AGI).
In a conversation with Cointelegraph, Goertzel emphasized the collaborative approach to enhance the chances of success in achieving AGI.
When asked about the timeline for AGI and its potential rollout, Goertzel shared insights and referenced the predictions of Ray Kurzweil, an American inventor, futurist, and author renowned for his AI work.
Support for the postponed ASI merger will be available on the official AGIX, FET, and OCEAN channels, as well as the ASI channel.
