MultiversX, a distributed blockchain network, has recently unveiled a groundbreaking blockchain education initiative in collaboration with Cornell University’s eCornell.
Dubbed the Blockchain Essentials Program, this innovative project aims to provide 100 underprivileged college students with a unique two-month educational experience, culminating in the awarding of a prestigious certificate upon successful completion.
According to a press release from MultiversX, this program is fully sponsored, meaning that students will not incur any costs for their participation. The official website for the initiative reveals that the regular price for the course is $3,750.
The Blockchain Essentials Program will be delivered online through private cohorts, ensuring a personalized learning environment with small, instructor-led groups to provide individualized attention and support.
One of the most exciting aspects of the program, as highlighted in the press release, is the opportunity for students to receive mentorship, assistance, and financial backing from MultiversX to develop blockchain projects that can have a positive impact on their communities.
Scheduled to kick off on July 17, 2024, the program is currently accepting applications until June 23, 2024. Eligible applicants must be current college students who are proficient in English and come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Only 100 participants will be selected for the program.
Beniamin Mincu, the CEO of MultiversX, expressed his enthusiasm for the program in a statement, emphasizing the importance of empowering students through blockchain education.
On another front, MultiversX recently introduced “Sovereign Chains,” a cutting-edge multichain, modular, integrated stack designed for blockchain development. This innovative technology has the potential to significantly boost the transaction throughput of existing layer-2 blockchain networks, increasing transactions per second (TPS) and smart contract TPS by up to 100 times.
During its initial demonstration, Sovereign Chains achieved an impressive throughput of 77,000 TPS, with MultiversX aiming to further elevate this figure to 100,000 in the near future.
In related news, MultiversX CEO Beniamin Mincu has recently published a thrilling crypto novel titled “Murder by (smart) contract,” adding to the company’s diverse portfolio of blockchain-related initiatives.
