New Web3 Launcher Allows GameFi Access Without Needing a Crypto Wallet

GGEM, a blockchain gaming platform that connects Web2 and Web3, has launched an early version of its platform. GameFi, an underexplored application of blockchain technology, remains largely unknown to more than half of adults. Game economies that focus on short-term value are not attracting players.

Developers are struggling due to the limited number of scalable and low-cost blockchains that can support a large user base, as well as the absence of game studios to assist with the launch process, which is hindering the development of advanced Web3 games.

The success of blockchain games relies on building a strong community that not only forms a user base but also contributes to development and marketing in a Web3 manner.

GGEM, a gaming platform, aims to help Web3 games launch and attract Web2 players. It offers tools and services for projects to launch games and reach an established audience that can benefit from its advanced features. After years of development, GGEM went live in March with a core build. The platform already hosts dozens of simple RPG, strategy, MMORPG, and free-to-play games that attract both crypto-native and non-crypto users and can be played without installation.

Interacting with the platform is user-friendly and seamless, even for those unfamiliar with blockchain. Users can play games without choosing between networks or connecting a Web3 wallet. The platform’s design makes it easy for players to navigate and execute all actions in one place. In-game assets are stored in personal GGEM wallets and are represented by non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that can be bought using crypto or fiat and can be traded externally.

In addition to the traditional play-to-earn model, the platform uses a challenge-to-earn system to incentivize players. Users can earn tokens and NFTs by participating in challenges, tournaments, and events. GGEM also allows for creating in-game quests that offer additional rewards to players.

GGEM Academy provides educational resources for traditional gamers with articles and tutorials on Web3 gaming, while the Learn-to-earn Gaming Program rewards users for completing online tests. The platform also offers consultancy services to developers and players, providing customized solutions tailored to their unique needs.

Following the MVP launch, GGEM closed its pre-seed funding round and completed the development of all Web2 components on its platform. It also formed partnerships with prominent gaming companies. The project is currently working on a software development kit for game developers and will introduce an in-game store in the third quarter to reduce the cost of blockchain gaming. The GGEM token will also be launched around the same time.

By providing innovative tools, lowering costs, and serving as a robust infrastructure, GGEM aims to onboard masses from Web2 to Web3 and contribute to creating a stable future for GameFi.
