In a strategic move to enhance its blockchain security capabilities, CertiK has transitioned its cloud infrastructure within Asia to the cloud computing arm of the renowned Chinese e-commerce behemoth, Alibaba. This collaboration entails CertiK deploying its comprehensive array of 12 blockchain applications onto Alibaba Cloud, leveraging the platform’s robust cloud resources to deliver cutting-edge Web3 services.

CertiK’s decision to utilize Alibaba’s centralized cloud infrastructure is a deliberate step towards furnishing blockchain developers with a fortified environment conducive to the creation and implementation of Web3 applications. Ronghui Gu, the co-founder of CertiK, remarked on the significance of this development.

In a previous venture, Alibaba Cloud had amalgamated with the Avalanche blockchain, which significantly augmented the company’s Node-as-a-Service offerings. This alliance enabled developers within the Avalanche ecosystem to establish new validator nodes utilizing Alibaba’s sophisticated cloud infrastructure.

The alliance between CertiK and Alibaba Cloud can be traced back to May 2023, marking the inception of CertiK’s security solutions on Alibaba Cloud’s Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) platform.

This pivotal agreement has empowered CertiK’s developers to perform thorough code reviews, comprehensive risk assessments, and meticulous team identity verifications, all within the secure confines of Alibaba’s cloud infrastructure. Initially, CertiK had integrated its services for smart contract auditing and first-layer blockchain auditing, with future plans to introduce penetration testing and the deployment of CertiK’s Skynet due diligence instrument.

Furthermore, the Chinese market is witnessing a surge in interest towards artificial intelligence (AI), with both entrepreneurs and investors placing their bets on this burgeoning technology. In a notable development this May, four Chinese startups specializing in generative AI achieved valuations exceeding $1 billion, positioning themselves as formidable contenders against industry giants like OpenAI. These newly minted unicorn entities, namely Zhipu AI, Moonshot AI, MiniMax, and 01.ai, have garnered substantial backing from domestic investors and are actively recruiting talent to spearhead AI product development.

Alibaba’s payment subsidiary, Alipay, has also made waves with the introduction of an AI-powered feature within its payment application. This innovative service is designed to assist users in identifying preliminary indications of hair loss.

According to insights from the South China Morning Post, users have the capability to submit scalp images for analysis by a sophisticated image recognition system, trained on an extensive database of medically pertinent imagery. The application then provides personalized recommendations, which may include suggestions for medical consultation if deemed necessary.
