Arianee, the provider of blockchain infrastructure for luxury brands, has developed a new layer 2 solution on Polygon to enhance its digital product passport platform. The company has been working on this optimized layer 2 since early 2023, utilizing Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK) powered by zero-knowledge proof (ZK-proof) technology. According to Arianee’s CEO, Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel, this reengineered infrastructure allows brands and developers to create highly customizable, cost-effective, and efficient digital passports and tokens linked to real-world products and assets. Arianee focuses on supporting brands engaged in scalable and high-performance projects that require precise control over costs and energy consumption. Payments within the Polygon CDK application-specific chain will be made using Arianee’s native protocol token, which is bridged to the Aria20 ERC-20 token on the Ethereum mainnet. This new layer 2 functionality will enable brands to launch and manage their digital product passports and loyalty tokens. Arianee currently serves as the infrastructure provider for over 40 luxury brands, including Breitling, Moncler, Yves Saint Laurent, and Lacoste. These brands use Arianee’s platform to issue digital passports for their products, providing blockchain-based proof of ownership and allowing owners to manage their data and access related services. The integration of Polygon’s CDK will enhance scalability and performance, while also reducing operational costs associated with gas fees and smart contract execution. Overall, this collaboration between Arianee and Polygon aims to revolutionize the luxury industry by leveraging blockchain technology to provide secure and efficient digital solutions for brands and consumers.
