TCG World, an innovative online virtual community sandbox, has recently joined forces with Chooky Records, an avant-garde blockchain music label, to introduce popular music from O.T., Elesia Iimura, and Busta Rhymes into the metaverse.
The initial outcome of this collaboration between the two companies will be the official release of the “Chooky” music video by the renowned recording artists in the TCG World metaverse. According to a press release from TCG World, this marks the first time the animated video will be available to the wider metaverse audience.
As previously reported by Cointelegraph, TCG World made its debut in 2021 as a metaverse that offers virtual real estate, Web3 collectibles, and a dynamic environment where almost everything can be traded as a nonfungible token (NFT). During its launch, TCG World proudly claimed to be the first 4K VR low poly game and the largest one on the BNB Smart Chain blockchain.
Chooky Records, on the other hand, is an unconventional record label that combines digital music with NFTs to create unique, tokenized entertainment experiences. Its breakthrough came in 2023 with the viral success of the song “Chooky,” performed by Nigerian artist O.T. and Australian/Japanese artist Elesia Iimura.
Adding to the allure of the “Chooky” track, Busta Rhymes, a platinum-selling recording artist renowned for his illustrious career spanning five decades and his notable contribution to A Tribe Called Quest’s iconic hip hop track “Scenario,” lent his vocals and likeness to the November 2023 audio visualization and the TCG World metaverse experience.
Although Chooky Records is a relatively new player in the independent music scene, its infrastructure has received acclaim within the music community. The Chooky Records white paper states:
