The highly anticipated Web3 game Wilder World has recently been listed on the Epic Games Store in preparation for its upcoming release.
Renowned as “the ultimate game” by its developer, Wilder World promises players a free-roam virtual world starting in Wiami, a vibrant metaverse city offering endless opportunities for exploration, racing, socializing, and more.
In this innovative gaming experience, every item, piece of equipment, plot of land, and avatar will serve as tradable digital assets within the Wilder World marketplace.
Frank Wilder, Co-founder of Wilder World, expressed excitement about the project, noting that the game will blend various game genres to deliver an immersive gameplay experience that addresses the limitations of traditional AAA games like Grand Theft Auto and Cyberpunk.
The Wilder World team envisions a game that seamlessly combines elements from racing, mining, and first-person-shooter genres into one cohesive and captivating universe.
Powered by a custom-built blockchain technology in partnership with Polygon and Celestia, Wilder World aims to keep transaction fees low while collaborating with Metagravity to support vast virtual worlds accommodating thousands of players.
Furthermore, the creators of the game plan to eventually transition to a proprietary cloud gaming system for enhanced performance. By leveraging NVIDIA GPUs, Wilder World is actively developing its own cloud gaming service to ensure reliability, hardware optimization, and seamless gameplay tailored for the metaverse and Web3 gaming.
While these advancements are still in the early stages, Wilder World will initially launch on Nvidia’s streaming gaming platform, Geforce NOW, with limited functionalities becoming available to players over the next 12-18 months. Players can look forward to experiencing the “racing” segment in “Act I” and the “combat” aspect in “Act III” as outlined in the team’s roadmap.
