Social media giant X has taken action against the account “Habibi_Comm” belonging to Sahil Arora, who is accused of being a serial scammer. The account is under scrutiny for sharing edited screenshots of conversations with famous Australian musician Iggy Azalea and for promoting celebrity memecoins that have been linked to fraudulent activities, going against the platform’s rules.
Azalea has distanced herself from Arora and has created her own cryptocurrency. Olympian Caitlyn Jenner and American rapper Rich the Kid have also come forward to accuse Arora of promoting memecoins under their names that turned out to be scams.
Despite facing these accusations, Arora continues to promote fake partnerships and launch new celebrity memecoins. Recently, he claimed to have a partnership with BingX, a cryptocurrency exchange that has denied any association with him. He then moved on to endorse a memecoin project based on American hip hop artist Offset, who has publicly accused Arora of deceit.
Screenshots obtained by Cointelegraph suggest that Offset had previous interactions with Arora. A Solana-based memecoin project, speaking anonymously, revealed that Arora introduced them to Offset in March and acted as a mediator in their collaboration. The project sent $20,000 to Arora’s account, but Offset claims he never received the payment.
The memecoin project alleges that both Arora and Offset have blocked them since the incident. Despite the suspension of his Habibi_Comm account, Arora is believed to have multiple accounts on X and is redirecting his followers to a new account on his Telegram channel. Before his ban, Arora had promoted connections with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and actress Lindsay Lohan.
In a leaked magazine, details of a Caitlyn Jenner meme coin created by Arora have surfaced, shedding light on his alleged involvement in creating celebrity memecoins.
