CoinStats, the cryptocurrency portfolio manager, has temporarily halted user activity following a security breach that affected 1,590 crypto wallets. In a post on June 22, CoinStats stated that the attack had been mitigated and that the application was temporarily shut down to isolate the incident. The company assured users that none of the connected wallets and CEXes were impacted. However, the extent of the breach remains unknown, and CoinStats has promised to provide updates as more information becomes available. CoinStats allows users to connect all their crypto wallets and use it as a portfolio tracker, providing a comprehensive view of their holdings. While the website is currently shut down as the security issue is resolved, CoinStats published a Google document listing the affected wallets and advised users to move their funds immediately using their exported private key. Members of the crypto community have warned victims to be cautious of scammers who may offer assistance. This security breach follows a series of incidents in the crypto industry, including a data breach suffered by CoinGecko, which exposed the contact information of over 1.9 million users. CoinStats has yet to respond to requests for comment.
